There’s no consequence as long as it’s paid within 15 days of the 25th (aka the 9th or 10th of the next month).
It’s $35 and won’t matter anyways. Thread over.
Assuming this is a corporate card, you don't actually have to pay by the "please pay by" date. You won't lose points until the next statement closing date. You won't be charged a late fee until 15 days after that.
It's fine as long as it's paid by the next payment period close date. This happened to me a few weeks ago and I still got the points.
Do your expenses on time next time!
Ummm don't you have 5k? And just be able to pay it? You'll get it back in a little bit? If you really don't have it - call amex and tell them the situation . Of corporate amex they'll work with you.

D1 and OW: ♥️

OP Call up Amex and let them know that you had to travel on a personal emergency situation. Hence, the payments got delayed. They might not retire your points.
Also if you have a $5000 credit on your Amex, you can call them and request a refund when it’s paid by the D
Just make the minimum payment to avoid late fee
You can always explain the situation and ask them to waive off the 35$ fees. I did that once and it worked
