Hi,
I'm currently having an offer from BlueOptima and Cohesity and am conflicted between the two.
I have offers in the SDET profile.
Cohesity Inc is providing me MTS and @BlueOptima is providing SDET-1.
Glassdoor reviews more of less place the two companies almost equally, and the package being offered by the two is almost in the same range.
My preferences include:
Learning opportunities in the role.
Company's work environment.
Company's growth prospects, are also a consideration.

Need some advice here. I am a fullstack developer with 5 yoe in Angular and Python. My aim is to crack FAANG companies. Now I got an offer from HSBC in a credit risk model monitoring role using Python. It is close to a data engineer role.
My question is that will it be a good idea to shift from development role to a model monitoring role if I want to move to FAANG in the future?Or does FAANG not prefer people who are not in core development roles?Amazon Microsoft Google Adobe PwC EY Citi Barclays JPMorgan Chase

I worked at Hitachi for many years before being laid off. Trust me, you do not want to work there. They pay below average and go years without raises. It's pretty common for people to turn down offers, as they end up being too low compared to the market.
I'm finding they don't seem as serious about hiring as they should be. I get the impression it's like when someone is employed and applies to jobs anyway just to see if there might be something better and to keep their options open. It feels like it has become such an employer's market that it is now financially feasible for them to do the same.

I look forward to the day when the job market shifts in favor of employees
While I’ve been looking at job postings, I do see a lot of the same ones coming and going. Not sure if they also have candidates that didn’t work out the first time or what. Definitely makes me think twice before applying to them when I know I saw it just a month ago.

I think they hired someone, but it didn’t work out, so they had to repost the job.

It’s got me thinking — do employers just hire temps and drop them without much thought now? I guess it’s easier to let temps go than lay off permanent employees, since companies don’t have to pay severance or deal with unemployment claims.
I get called by foreign Indian unknown recruiters often and I block them, since I believe it's some sort of scheme. I went on one interview, but it was very suspicious and the company had no idea of the interview.
