Any advice for inheriting a team?

I'm interviewing for a role where I'd have a coordinator and specialist report to me. I come from an agency environment where I've overseen junior team members on projects I lead, but this would be my first time I'd formally be a manager.

Anything I should keep an eye out for in my interviews? Or anything I should do to reassure I'm capable of the leadership?

Recruiter emailed and told me that I applied for the wrong job because it was a more creative role - I have a creative background and education... anyone else feeling pigeon holed?

How much stock do you put on benefits? I have two offers with stark differences in benefits. Job 1: role I want, but benefit sucks (2 weeks paternity leave, 20% coinsurance). Job 2: role is okay but higher level and great benefits (16 weeks paternity, 0% coinsurance, 5 more days of vacation). Total comp is the same though. I wonder if I should just focus on role but Job 2 is a large company, so I can move around after 2-3 years I’d expect. Thoughts?

Hey guys I have offer from cisco system and checkpoint cyber security . Checkpoint is offering x+5 in base where as cisco is offering similar amount in joining bonus. Overall per year ctc is also differs by 3 lac (y+3) in checkpoint .

So considering recession and mass layoff which one will be right option to select in terms wlb, job security and future growth .

FYI : checkpoint is starting r&d division in India I will be first person to be hired for the same role.

Has anyone had success renegotiating pay while remaining in the same position? The last two years have significantly changed my local market and the less-than-inflation federal pay raises are not cutting it. I'd be seeking 3 steps within my current grade, but I don't know if my management even has a mechanism to make the change if they wanted to. I am aware of the Quality Step Increase, but I don't think that's the solution here.

Okay, it’s time to stop putting on a face about this. I love my boyfriend so much, but covid is ruining us. We are both still WFH and argue every few days about the dumbest stuff.
