Any advice on what I should be putting out there as a freelance rate? I'm at an Account Manager level, with about 7 years of experience.

$75-$100/hr you should consider a business plan before freelancing. Think about overhead costs and tools you will need, plus what you need to live off re: insurance, etc.

Agreed. For reference, I have 14 years experience both agency and in house and change $115-145…. Hoping to increase but budgets are small these days!

Resume/LinkedIn question:

I am a senior student graduating in a couple of months. I am going to join Google this fall as a SWE. My previous work experience includes an internship at Google, and a summer spent working on open source (PostgreSQL) during Google Summer of Code. In addition to a lot of college coursework projects (CE major). Most of these projects are worth mentioning and they cover a diverse range of fields.

At what point should I drop coursework projects from my Resume/LinkedIn?

I saw some sales managers discussing hiring strategies, especially for entry level roles (e.g. SDR, BDR).

One strategy that came up was having the applicant do 90 minutes of cold calling into real prospects with the hiring manager coaching.

What do you think of this approach? Would be curious to hear from both hiring manager perspectives and from candidate perspectives.
