I would, have to be on an airplane. Getting arrested at a peaceful protest (if that were to happen) would a badge of honor.

It feels like it’s turning into the 60’s all over again. Only this time, the war we’re protesting is at home. Do we have as much guts as our parents did?

likefunnyupliftingsmart

Please protest!! I am your parents and/or grandparents' generation! I'm 71 year old. Yes, I protested the war as young as I was in the 60s, but this is entirely different. This is a war for democracy vs fascism at home! Our home! I protested on No Kings Day and plan to on July 4th too. Please join us!

Wow, these answers are not it. Yes, I attended. Our local bar association made an event out of it. Lots of attorneys I know were there with their families.

likefunnyuplifting

Agreed - I couldn’t make it bc of my young kid but many colleagues went.

Billing more hours for the firm on some merger for some shitty ice cream company, is not a life Tom.

A7 the first step is acceptance not denial.

I’d love to, but I have a little one and his safety comes first. With them in spirit.

likefunnysmart

I attended with my toddler. It was very safe and well-run. People were walking around reminding others to drink water and handing out waters.

likeuplifting

No lol, just makes everyone look bad once they start burning cars and looting businesses.

likefunny

That’s like a Fox News stereotype of how protests go lol. It’s gonna be 70% suburban moms

likefunny

I was thinking about it but then I realized I’m not mentally retarded enough.

likefunnysmart

A7. Then donate your own money. It shouldn’t be taxpayer funded. And how do you feel about cuts to the VA? Or do you prefer grandiose displays of poor marching and narcissism over material support to our vets?

like

I don’t think now is the time to protest and invite any additional military response. I think we need to be more strategic. So, no.

likefunny

“Military response” lol. It was one of the most peaceful protests I’ve ever attended.

My husband is!

likefunny

No. Lawyers should have respect for law and order or they betray their profession.

likefunny

Nothing that Joe Biden did justifies the blatant disrespect Trump has shown for the 1st and 14th Amendments. He threatened harm against people who might protest against his little birthday parade - blatant violation of 1st Amendment. He signed an executive order purportedly ending birthright citizenship- blatant violation of 14th Amendment. The whataboutism means nothing. But whatever, he’s creating precedent so I guess the next Democratic president can just amend the Constitution via executive order too, right?

likesmartfunny

lol no

Thousands of them. THOUSANDS.

Yes, there are attorneys attending no kings protests. I am not one of those attorneys.

Really? You don’t who I am, let alone how I think or behave. I’ve known my partner for years. I work with her on a regular basis. What is the basis of your evaluation?

I’ve never seen less POCs than at the No Kings day rallies. Are we sure it wasn’t a white power rally? Did organizers forget to invite POCs?

Need to finalize some sig pages

Heading to Chicago and hoping we don’t run into any protests.

I don’t live in Wrigleyville, dufus. I was visiting from out of town, going to a Cubs game.

No. I think it’s counter productive to focus on picking sides. Government overspending and overtaxation should be protested as a whole.

like

Yup. Cowards fold under confrontation. Do you want to live in a country where Rex Lex?

I asked to come back even after a couples broadway show in front of dirty practices based on what? Total opposite of a coward!

Maybe the Bar needs a CLE on how not to be a lemming! No one seems to be able to be a gree thinker anymore!

I was wondering if I have the necessary skills to transition into a tech sales role. If so, what would be the best role/fit for me?Amazon Salesforce Google @
