Any CISA exam tips? Are there any good helpful third-party study materials?

I think the key to using the database is understanding that the questions are not EXACTLY the same. You need to focus on the theme and high level concept of the question

like

For some people CISA might be joke but I djnt pass it in the first go... Questions were completely different from the database.. This time I'm actually studying the book and doing online questions.. Still don't know if I will@pass

like

It's not the popular answer but I did NOT use the database. I studied the book, very carefully. Read and took notes. Got a score in the top 5 percentile. You need to do whatever helps you learn best. Also, most importantly, read the questions very carefully because sometimes one word makes the entire question different.

Well if anyone here is interested in working in IT audit in LA let me know, EY has a ton of openings and I could use the referral bonus 😎

PwC pays for the official study guide and the CD database of questions. The database is the most helpful. The practice questions are very similar to the actual exam. Maybe EY will pay for the same things?

Ey pays for it

But CISA is a joke, most people knock it out in a week

How would you rate the freelance market at the moment? I’ve recently quit fulltime, and beyond a couple of my own (LLC) short client projects - I’ve had zero agency freelance over the summer.
I have 10 years exp (2.5 as CD on well known brands) at respected agencies, and some awards.
What am I doing wrong? I left FT to address some long term burnout, but now I’m afraid if this continues - I’ll have to go back full time, without even snagging a FL gig. 🫤

Any recommendations for certifications, ideally under $1,000? I've seen several but not sure of the quality or the relevance. I'm already working in UX unofficially and have updated my resume but looking to make a switch to user experience research. I think a certification will help me look like a better candidate, aside from giving me more practical knowledge.

Ex-consultant now in marketing. Used to be an avid follower here and got great insights on companies when trying to exit consulting so thought I’d try here for advice. Outside of FAANG, what are good large CA-based tech companies that provide good pay, WLB, and culture? DD has great people and WLB, but pay is low and you’re not given the tools and resources to succeed + truly make an impact. Google and Apple are ideal but need backups. Like is Salesforce still good? A company along those lines.

Just curious to how my firms (wealth management/bank/trust) comp compares with others out there. I received a promotion earlier this year from an Investment Advisor, AVP to Senior Investment Advisor, VP and moved from $110K to $140K ($130 salary + $10K discretionary bonus) all in. By meeting expectations in 2 pay cycles, the base bumps up to $175K + bonus.
