Hi folks, how is thoughtworks as an organisation?
Asking because I don't know much about it and have received recruiter's call today. Currently I am working in Deloitte. How is thoughtworks hikes, wlb, does it provide any benefits apart from fixed pay? My research gives me a mixed review: some say it's good, some say that thoughtworks is not stable enough like big 4 or other organisations. Pls help Thoughtworks Deloitte
I have been reading a few articles talking about how FAANG isn’t as lavish as it used to be. My first question is if that is true? If it is true, my second question is what companies out there have the pay, benefits, and perks like FAANG? My last question is if it is as difficult to get into those companies? Yup, there are lots of Farmers agents out there.
Farmers agents are independent contractors, which means you have lots of freedom.
As an independent contractor, you won't get traditional benefits like paid time off or sick days, but you get to make your own schedule.
You'll typically get commission payments on a monthly basis for auto and home policies, and bonuses are usually paid out once a year.
Hope that helps! Let me know if you want more info.
Thank you for the response. So if I sold an auto policy of $2500 annually, what is my commission? How is the commission different if I sold auto vs property? If I sold these products today as a 100% commission agent, when do I get paid, the following week the premium is paid or the following month? Are agents W2 or 1099?
I was shown a contract for 100% commissions that I felt was vague. I was told you have to sell $10k in premiums a month and 1 life insurance policy per month. The commission schedule showed a commission $0 under commission but under >$30k your bonus & commissions is $8,025. So it showed bonus as 100%. I feel like something is not adding up. 😂 So I must sell a minimum of $10k a month, but I don’t get a bonus unless I sell minimum of $30k? I felt like the $8,025 was a way to get me enticed.
Farmers agents are 1099 independent contractors, not W2 employees, so they are responsible for paying their own taxes. The agent's commission is paid monthly, and bonuses are paid out annually based on performance. PTO, sick days, and holidays are not provided as they are not employees.
Awesome. Thank you.
