Hi there, I’ve been told that Deloitte (London, UK) is going to make me an offer but haven’t heard back and it’s been over two weeks. The recruiter mentioned it would be around the “m2 grade”. Any idea what this pay range is? … I have 3 YOE working in NHS finance and have applied for a position in Risk Advisory, public sector. Curious what life at Deloitte is like? Does a work life balance exist?

Don't see a problem as long as the pay keeps going up. Titles don't matter that much in my view. I'm going from a B4 Manager to an Associate in banking for a 50% TC increase. Titles don't pay the bills.
I work as a mix between data science and software engineering. Role is basically building tools to save money/improve processes at the bank.
What they said. If the TC goes up and the responsibilities go down then it is a win-win.
Not an issue if everything else lines up, but naturally you want to think about what you’re getting from the role not just what it means when you leave
Another viewpoint to add to the above - firms want you to succeed. It’s expensive and time consuming to hire and develop people. So if bringing you in ‘junior’ to where you are allows you to learn the ropes at your new place, ramp up and move fast, then it’s a win-win situation
It’s never good to feel you have been tricked/lowballed though I would be surprised if this was the intention. It’s far worse in my view to be hired at a level senior to what you can offer, fail before you have begun because you can’t live up to expectations and either end up leaving or clamber to regain credibility
Thanks all
