SNACKS!
Fair enough but I’m considering different options than a stand alone office
Pitches. Yes it’s baked into payroll/travel/etc but it’s also an investment & opportunity cost for existing client growth.
Software, hardware, awards or PR related pushes, marketing. The overhead is going to be 90% the same of any professional services
E&O Insurance, for one. Of many.
Exactly! Like I said in my last comment - late client payments throw everything off. Got to train clients but that’s an industry problem. We got to unite and set contract standards and financial/legal ramifications for late payments or breach of contract.
That’s a different topic thread
Payroll
Cool I mentioned payroll
Benefits + 401k

Recruitment
People costs for Legal, IT, biz dev, PR, exec team and any other non billable or partly billable roles are the big overheads. In addition to rent, office upkeep, software licenses, hardware costs, agency events, PR, subscriptions etc.
Any costs that aren’t covered by clients are overhead. Administrative roles- like Finance and HR- would be considered overhead. All legal costs would be overhead. All of your hardware (computers, editing bays, sound equipment). Any costs for events, pitches, travel. The development and hosting of your website. Recruitment fees. Etc.
