Any in-house attorneys in this environmental subgroup? If so, can I pick your brain on how to move from firm to in-house? Where and what the in-house needs are for environmental companies?

Got offers from LinkedIn and DoorDash. Similar comp. However, money aside, which is a better company? And which is probably more immune to the current market conditions?

If you are given a cold lead to a company’s IT director in order to sell a specific software, how would you reach out to them? This was an interview question that caught me off guard. How would you respond?

Determined to move into strategy consulting (still junior, recently promoted). I'd love to learn more about ATK in Asia/SEA. Someone from the region interested to help me out via DM?

Charles Schwab $50/hr

New CPA in our building and asks are you a CFP? I say no and she says "Oh I was jw cuz I have people ask if I know a good planner." We agreed to talk but I need a way to deflect the "non-CFP" thing

Trying to decide if I should buy some wfh stuff during Black Friday sales. Have recent new hires got a $500 “productivity” stipend, if so, what can it be used on? Also just to confirm this is separate than the wellness subsidy? Tried doing a search but didn’t see anything clear.

I currently am looking to transition to talent acquisition from an account manager role. I have five years in sales experience and finish my bachelors this year. I want to transition but want a 50k base. 😬 Is this feasible with no recruiting experience? And what companies tend to hire “entry level” recruiters and this base?

Any advice on where to repair Cannon lenses in LA? (aside from Sammy's & Cannon repair center)

Thoughts on Kim K’s Halloween costume? A bit on the nose lol

Hi Fishes,
I would really like some of you senior people to advice me on the following. Will working in a new and comparatively unknown product startup hamper my chances for future employment opportunities at big companies for e.g. FAANG companies? Will it be a wise choice for my future? I read somewhere that big company like these don't prefer to hire people who have worked in startups. I would really like to get your advice. TIA

Honest opinions please—will oil and gas trade association experience be looked down upon by future environmental law firms/ non profits/ the clean energy space? Or will it be looked as a plus? Trying to break into the energy regulatory space but been having less luck with the renewable energy space.

Anybody here? Strategy for handling it when you get a CEQA case assigned to a non-CEQA judge?

Would it be difficult to switch from environmental litigation to environmental regulatory work? I’ve been at my firm now for a little over a year and it is all litigation. The environmental regulatory job postings I’ve seen require at least a few years of regulatory work. I am not sure how to make that transition. Any thoughts?

Does anyone on here recommend making a switch from law to policy work? Is that looked down upon in the legal field or is there some rewarding features of utilizing one’s JD in the policy space? I’ve been interviewing in the policy space and am really passionate about clean energy policy. I guess I’m also wondering if practicing law in the energy regulatory space is worthwhile given my interests.

If anyone has an interest in moving to an environmental group of a market paying firm that has great people and flexible wfh arrangements let me know! My firm is hiring :)
