Thoughts on HSBC for ib?
Faced this weird behaviour from Optum recently. Gave interview for Data Scientist position. HR said feedback is positive. Asked for documents. It's been month now since I have shared the documents. I have no update on the offer. Today I called HR, she called me back saying the position is on hold due to recalibration in team, She has shared interview feedbacks to other teams and will get back to me in couple of days. I am clueless now. My last working day is approaching (In a month). Any Help??

Hi Fishes
I would like to know about the client interviews (especially in data science or machine learning roles).
Are these interviews tough?
Are these interviews meant to assess technical knowledge? For example, what is binomial distribution, what are different data structures in python, ml algorithms etc.
I would request each of the nagarrians to share their thoughts irrespective of the technologies you are working.
I am thankful to you for taking time and helping me out.

i think mine was so long due to SM/MD level. Had to interview with all practice leads based on availability
Offer received and signed. End to end was crazy, approx 5-6 months total with 1-2 weeks in between each phase
One month between initial resume drop through referral and completing first round. They said decision about moving to final round should be a week, which could be scheduled in 2 weeks. So looks like ~8 weeks end to end
So to set my expectations straight, I should expect a few months? Im trying to hold off on applying to other companies with a fear that they will move a lot quicker than BCG. Resume drop to hearing back took 2 weeks, then waiting for who ill be speaking to took another 1 week, now its been 1 week waiting for the assistant to set up something up.
I applied mid Feb, heard back end of March, phone call beginning of April, first round is the first week of May.
How much time are you guys setting aside for case interviews?
What level at BCG are you applying to?
SC not a ton, I did enough prep 2 years ago that it’s mostly knocking rust off
@EM1 4 yrs of exp, so I am assuming at a consultant level? My limited knowledge tells me their structure is associate, consultant, and project lead.
@A1 And how much prep was that 2 years ago? Also did you do live prep?
