I accepted an offer mid Oct and just found out my new company opened a new role above me at the title I was asking for originally but was told I would move up when they were ready to build out the team. Why is it so difficult to make the next career move within your OWN company. I have over 7 years of experience across multiple departments and yet an external company is more willing to give an interview to select roles than your own home company for the same role internally!!

Anybody else noticed recruiters are only proactively reaching out about hybrid/on-site roles nowadays?

It's almost as if people don't want to be in offices anymore so that's why it's difficult for them to fill those roles.
Sidenote: recruiters, you can see on my LI profile that I'm remote. In the "What jobs are you interested in" field you can see I'm only interested in remote roles.
So, why are you reaching out to me about jobs in a city 3 hours away that's 100% onsite and w/out even a ReLo?
