I’m currently in the process of being converted from contractor to permanent. In my initial conversations I was under the impression that I was in a different pay grade and asked for a salary 25k higher than the max allotted for my position. I feel like it gave the impression that I don’t know what I’m doing. Any suggestion how I can recover from this?

I have been on a planned personal sabbatical this year pursuing personal interests. Now I’m ready to go back to work. I will have next week the second interview with an exec recruiter for a company for a Director level position reporting to the COO of the company. Our company is a small company with 80-100 employees in India, what the company does is ask us to track every single minute of our day, from getting into the office to what time we got up for lunch, tea, etc. for everything we have to put a log, do you guys think this is a healthy process for a company to grow? All the employees be frustrated that they have to go to office regularly and finish 9 hours somehow, a measured break time is also allocated.

So I work with Citi and have about 9 YOE in finance, banking, accounting, AR, AP etc. a lot of different experience across all the spectrums. Intrigued by Fintech. What base salary/ total comp to expect for a Sr PM in Toronto in today’s market?

I was looking at PM roles only that were around $110k, one company approached me with Sr PM (title bump) at $110k. I’m getting scheduled for final interview loop next week with this company and planning to negotiate if an offer is extended from them. I did tell them that I’m at final stage with other companies so they can expect multiple offer situation from me. Advice?

Currently, in accenture. I have had very bad billable hours and not much achievement this fiscal year. I am worried of getting fired, so i applied for another job. Got offered may be 5% above my current pay with 5k bonus, but in lower level at Deloitte. I think working lower level will give me more opportunities to learn as i think i have lot to learn. I made decision based on my gut and accepted the offer. I have not talked to anyone on accenture side yet. What you think?
