Hi there. Ex Deloitte Sr Mgr here, currently in tech pre sales (SaaS / MarTech). Recently spoke to both Salesforce and Adobe recruiters for roles that I thought were lateral moves (Sr SA / Sr SC), therefore I did not proceed with the selection process. The recruiters from both companies told me they typically hire at that level, and people are considered for promotion to Principal in 1 to 2 years. I found that odd. Is that right? What’s the typical TC for SAs and SCs there? (15+ yrs exp).

I almost had an offer so definitely possible (in the sense that companies are willing to interview you and engage with you in meaningful discussion around fit/scope/comp for VP roles). Keep in mind titling is not consistent across companies, but I take it VP in this case means a typical true executive position (as opposed to title-inflated positions in banking) with 200k+ on salary with STI and LTI
We lost one M and one SM to VP levels at a Comms company on last 6 months. The M was up for SM and was an experienced hire.
I've seen a couple of exits
Depends on if you mean VP as an actual officer of the company, or VP as an exec. There is a difference, even outside of banking. SM to VP officer of the company in F100 seems like a very large stretch.
Possible. More likely if you’re joining with enterprise tech experience at a non-tech org.
