Need advice. Hope this isn’t too sensitive a topic to ask about, but for all those with deeper Indian roots than I do (born in or living in India), can you please explain why some people posit that even having this chat perpetuates the negative parts of a caste system? My perhaps naive perspective is that Brahmins are a caste but also a religious subsect. One can be religious and seek similar devotees without believing in or perpetuating caste hierarchy. Reductive or fair?
