Folks, I just got promoted and joined this group. How should I approach selling consulting services? I am delivering services and not had much success farming given the client environment. How can I start hunting? Any steps or tried-out resources I can leverage? Help out a fella trying to do his job better 🙏
A lot of companies put out ads or talked about policy or internal changes in response to the BLM movement. I’m wondering if, beyond the immediate ads and statements that were released this actually continued. What are some things your agency has done… or could do to make a real impact in the realm of Diversity, equity and inclusions (DEI).

ACN- CFO EV (in consulting sector) Deloitte - Finance & Enterprise Performance EY - Performance Improvement - Finance Transformation Which group should I join &why? Culture, pay, work life balance, etc
I’d like to apologize in advance as this maybe a touchy topic for certain folks. For those that have been in the Big 4 for sometime now (i.e. was hired before this covid induced hiring spree over the past couple months), are you concerned that your market value would decrease as a result of the firms hiring people left and right? In other words, the recruiting has been excessively relaxed now compared to when there was intense competition.
Anyone applying to IESE? Thoughts on the school (for a career in Europe)? Other than LBS / Insead - rankings, students and articles show it’s the best back up and better than Oxbridge
How would you communicate the involuntary termination of a team member at a startup? Typically, I handle these communications by having the manager have an informative session immediately after the termination to the employee's direct team and the news rapidly spread. However, as this is such a small team it may cause confusion and concerns for the team that stays. I feel like there isn't an "ideal" way to communicate involuntary terminations, but happy to hear your advice
Hi AWS fish! What’s an appropriate salary to request for a program analyst role in Seattle? 2 YOE currently making a $90k salary and $100k with benefits.
Partnership while on H1B. Anyone here go through the partnership process while on H1B? What are the options because presumably you can no longer be on H1B if you make Partner. Thanks!
Anyone here able to qualify for a mortgage within a year after full-time b school? My wife and I combined make $290k now, but I’m hearing that lenders want 2 years of income history. Wife had her job, but I only had internship income during school. Would love to hear thoughts / experiences. Thanks.
Kicking off the holiday weekend with “totchos” with guacamole and lime cream. Served with a frozen raspberry margarita! Something different before all the barbecues.
Boomerangs - Did you get a raise when you boomeranged back to your old big 4 firm? If so, how much? Tips to negotiate.
Anybody want to see the movie 1917 tonight? Playing at the regal union square. Here’s the trailer https://youtu.be/YqNYrYUiMfg
@partners - I have two opportunities. One is to lead a group for a corporation (industry). The other is to join another consulting firm, doing the same work that I am doing now. While the comp will be better to stay in consulting and I do like the idea of becoming a partner one day, I am intrigued with the steady industry role... any advice?
How do you decide how much of comp to co-invest in the fund? First time coming into private equity and totally lost about what most people typically put in and how to think about it (10 YOE with plenty of outside savings and investments so don’t need much of the take home pay)
Advise on handling rates negotiations with BIPOC and non-male creators? I always want to accept first bid and get uncomfortable when my bosses push to undercut rates (especially now when money is tight), because there is a whole history of BIPOC and non-male people getting paid less. I’ve tried to push back but struggle to articulate this to them. (For the record, I’m POC female and my bosses are white males, and race/gender convos are already very difficult with them.)
