There are lots of negetive reviews about DXC in social networking.. how is the variable payments at the end of the appraisal cycle? There are lot of sacks few year back, is there any stability now. They are offering WFH, is that going to be always or is there any forecast of asking the employees to join any office?DXC Technology

I’m the total opposite with remote work so can’t relate, but recommend the following:
1. Build authentic relationships with your co-workers through slack or whatever else you use. Have breaks where you chat with coworkers in casual conversations, find out their interest, share yours.
2.Identify if anyone else feels this way, if you don’t have a physical office you can visit and work from every now and then, try to see if anyone wants to set up a date where you work together from a coffee shop and physically interact once or twice a month. Others might be experiencing what you are and join you on this idea.
3. Is there opportunity for HR or one of the leaders to set up gatherings or team building get together?
4. Are there common interest slack channels or company chat groups where you can interact through the day remotely?
5. Have a personal power hour that includes reading and filling up your mind with positivity and personal development before work. I almost guarantee you will be enlighten to better approach this issue in a way that best works for you and help you overcome this issue and feel better.
Very helpful thank you! Our HR doesn’t do anything like that. I think I’ll see if some people want to do a meet up like you suggested.
I struggled so much i ended up getting fired :/ when i got a new gig i negotiated a stipend to rent office space. Its been a game changer. Its not the same as an actual office w coworkers, but it really helped me. I hope you can find what you need!!
There is no office…they let the lease go. Honestly, thanks for just saying you’re not alone. That helps a lot. This can’t be good for us right?
No definitely not. If it gets really bad, I would suggest getting a different in office/hybrid type job
Agreed. I think I’m there.
Have you thought about trying coworking spaces? Becoming a regular at one of them might also help you with the interaction aspect.
Yes! Most cities, even small ones, have coworking spaces. that could be fun!
I love working from home, but do feel like this from time to time. I make lunch dates with other friends who work from home, or even invite those friends over to work from the couch with me!
I totally get it. There’s no physical office for you to go to? Or maybe a teleworking place to work from? Sorry if this isn’t helpful. Just know you’re not alone

Yep, I decided to move states and that helped a lot.
Nice
Yeah I have started going into office regularly - at least once a week. Not sure if correlated or causal but definitely have seen an improvement in my mental health.
Ultimately I think we all need a social circle at work with real human relationships that are in 3D - with all its dangers and smells and imperfections - and not just in 2D over Zoom or Slack.
At this point I don’t even care about productivity anymore - I just want to see someone else other than my or my wife’s face.
I would advise to work on your personal relationships outside work. I cannot relate to your situation but have seen friends whose friendship circles are limited to mostly colleagues struggle because work is their only chance to socialise.
On the other hand, friends that don't rely as much on their colleagues for socialising seem to be thriving as they have more time to spend with their friends instead of commuting. Big cities are challenging for personal relationships. Check out meet up to find people with shared interests or try joining some in person activities such sports, workshops, or lessons so you can interact with others you can relate to. Best of luck.
Thanks. I like the meetup idea!
Thanks for sharing!
