After submitting my resume for the Global Finance and Business Management full time position at JP Morgan (my dream job!), I got a HireVue invite the next day! However, I completed it 9 days ago and still have no response....
When do we get a response in average, and after how much time does it mean I probably am not getting an offer to continue?
Thanks!

Why would a strategy director be so close minded and needlessly rude? Every post about using your connections also has a TON of comments about people who’ve successfully gotten jobs from online job boards.
Not to mention at a lot of big agencies even if you get a job through connections you’re still required to fill out a formal application and go through that ringer for the company’s paperwork.
Yeah I uploaded a one-page pdf with a url and nothing else on it. They visited the url but didn’t ever contact me so 🤷♂️
One of my college professors advised us to never apply to a place that had stupid rules like that
Truly trying to help.
It may be true for media agency folks, PR or account management folks, but the application systems on agency websites (taleo, etc) is a dead end for creatives wanting to get their books seen by creative agency gatekeepers
Nope. SD1. It’s not. Most of them still want the online application. Even after a CD and higher want to talk
Good advise. I’m not desperate enough to do a little dance for these places.
Seems like cold emailing people your book wouldn’t normally have that high of a response rate either though...
Why are people still “applying” to jobs online? Every fish in the bowl has told you those online apps are a black hole. Email or message someone at the agency your book
@Zenith1 @EP1 - Agree with @SD1 here. I get it, I’ve been asked to do the online application process before but hat has been AFTER I spoke to somebody and in the organization and the lead was promising. These application portals are usually a waste of time and a black hole. Personally, wouldn’t want to work for an agency that doesn’t place real people as their first point of contact. It shows a real lack of tact and understanding of what applicants may be going through in their job search process.
Totally understand that the online application process is not ideal, but I know our agency does look at and have hired people who have submitted applications through it. It’s not wasting a ton of my time and I’m not that desperate so why not 🤷🏼♀️
