I have an MSN with a focus in informatics. Recently got my board certification. 3.5 years experience as a nurse. 8 years total in healthcare. Becoming very frustrated with my organization and the slowness of our analysts in getting anything resolved. Feeling like I’m at a dead end and thinking about switching routes entirely. I’m currently in the process of being converted from contractor to permanent. In my initial conversations I was under the impression that I was in a different pay grade and asked for a salary 25k higher than the max allotted for my position. Can someone explain how billable hours work? At a new agency and although I had to fill timesheets at my previous agencies, they were mainly used to ensure we weren’t over servicing a client/for setting the appropriate retainer for contract renewals. I asked ppl at my agency but haven’t gotten a proper explanation. I get the impression that billing to the agency admin code isn’t recommended, and my manager said he bills everything to client codes, but that doesn’t make sense to me .
