Any other hiring managers feeling like all of your candidates are asking for more money last minute just to see how far they can go? Like if we say the range is 110-130K, they say they’re looking for 135K, you offer 135K and then they say they won’t take the job for less than 150? Not even with competing offers. Applying for an Associate role at McK Ops practice after being actively sourced by multiple recruiters. I was excited about it at first, but struggling to find bandwidth for case practicing. I’ve pushed interviews to a later time already to accommodate for my schedule, but now I’m even busier than before. I’m second guessing whether I should go through with it, as the prospect of an even worse WLB is off-putting. Should I just stop the process? Or just see what happens?

So i have been fortunate that i have managed to go through my career without the need for a degree. I was lucky enough to have been hired by one of the worlds top consulting firms, worked with a whole lot of big clients and travelled a lot. It's gotten to the point where I am not even asked about the lack of a degree on my resume. Personally though, it bothers me.
