I went from pwc to EY and whilst some of the minor things are better at pwc, my experience at EY has been a more inclusive, collaborative work environment and greater emphasis placed on quality training and development. Overall those were more important to me.
I e been at PwC 9 years and have known a lot of people that have moved between Firms. My experience has been that if you are switching Firms because you found a role that is really interesting or a location that you really want to be in that was not available in your first Firm then it can work well. If you’re moving Firms because you didn’t like public in the first one but want to give another Firm a shot I would encourage you to think about why you are jumping ship. At the end of the day they are both very large public firms that compete in very similar business models. There may be different perks or different cultural tones but the underlying work is very similar
I just left PwC, but I have friends at EY. Reimbursement is much better at pwc because they pay your expenses for you. Scheduling is probably the same. You also get a phone paid for directly from PwC.
Does Pwc let you keep the Amex reward points?
You have to pay for membership rewards - $90/year I think. Otherwise your card doesn't earn them
And a correction on the phone. You have to pay for your own phone but it's extremely discounted. For example, I bought the s8 st $100. The benefit is you own the phone when you leave.
@pwc2 I meant pwc pays for the service
PWC 3- well said! I am switching because I, unlike many, really like SOX work and risk assurance at PwC and the location Im interested in has had growth in market around 70%. What a good time to join. Plus my firm won’t get a transfer out for me. I come from a small office and because of that, transfers take forever (if they ever happen). Good point to make though for others!
