Got a potential offer from a start up, looking for someone to complete to their entire HR department from the scratch. Currently at a stable fortune500 company with a at will role for a project for 12-15 months. Not very happy with the mundane tasks in this role. I’d be leaving 6mo early than previously discussed. Start up role seems super exciting but culture is different and can be tough. Does anyone have any thoughts? Is it bad to leave?

Can I take a second role as a short term consultant with e.g. the world bank or another smaller firm (fully remote) where my current firm is not competing? I have an offer for an in-house contract position (12-18 months) working on a project that's heavily regulatory and would require a lot of work drafting policies and procedures. Any thoughts on whether a contract position might be worth taking to get the experience I need for a real in-house job?

Why would that be? What is the probability
