I worked as external payroll for 1 year then I became permanent employee of organization was working. When i was a fresher my salary was below tax slab so my external exployer did not generate any form 16 for me. When tried to switch my new organization wants me to submit form 16 as BGC process. I started trying out the pomodoro technique: 25min of focus, 5min break
Repeat 4x then take a 30min break
For the 5min breaks, I try to keep them exercise/physical related since a 5min scroll on my phone turns into 20 real quick
My therapist also pointed out: dedicating time to work is also a form of self love...so future you won't have to stress doing last minute work
Echoing this “work ~ self love” sentiment. Slacking off feels good in the moment especially when I felt I could get away with it, but the anxiety catches up really quickly
When there's no deadlines this happens to me. I was pretty good at setting times for myself to finish things, but since the Christmas break, I'm struggling with this too. I'm here for sympathy!
Yeah same, I'm about this unfocused during nonbusy season, regardless of where I'm working. I figure, they'll work me to the bone during busy season, so why feel guilty now? It all evens out.
Procrastinate til last minute, then the efficiency kicks in, works every time
Honestly, shower and get dressed, define a work space – work there only, pack lunch the night before, get up and go outside in the morning for a “commute.”
When all of this first started I even needed to keep wearing jeans and shoes to help focus me. I’ve laxed on that a bit now.
Find a structure and stick with it.
I'd like to also recommend some background noise/music (youtube, etc), especially focusing frequency or background chatter. Putting on reruns on low volume may also help towards the afternoon.
I switch it up every 2-3 hours so I don't get sick of one thing all day, and every few days I may change the rotation.

8-9:30 - Frequency, focus, etc
9:30-12 - Background chatter ambiance
12-1:30 - Reruns (usually comedy/animation)
1:30-3 - Music (usually electronic study remix)
3-5 - Podcast (also usually reruns)
This way a portion of the brain stays busy, not too bored, and the rest of you can keep focused on work

Procrastinate and Wait until last minute then I pop an addy and do it in like 10% of the time I thought it would take. Deadlines really motivates me.
But for real: put your phone away while you work. If you lock your phone away and put on some background music, you’ll be way more productive. I turn off all notifications except text and only get emails once an hour. This way if it’s urgent I can go get my phone but otherwise I only use it on breaks.
Cordyceps extract (500mg). Can’t go wrong with the parasitic fungi that grows on the brains of insects and spiders! Seriously though the stuff is magical.

I haven’t tried this yet, but I feel like this would help keep me from being distracted by my phone so much: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/forest-stay-focused/id866450515
I take a hot shower each morning. It wakes me up. On days I work, I allow myself to have a hot chocolate. It’s something I enjoy and a treat. Then when I’m done and I’ve been productive, I’ll allow myself to have a piece of chocolate at night. Find something that brings you happiness that you can start your workday with and treat yourself to something each day when you’ve done a good job.
I also try to plan my day the night before. If I get my work done, then I’ll have more time to do other things.
