It confirms I am not meant to be a stay at home mom or teacher.
Ha! Same here
I want to quit my job, give up on ever having a family, move to the mountains and write books. Maybe make a few friends to party with a few times a month.
Any mountain, between 2-5 dogs. Puppies and seniors.
Marriage was on the rocks before this, and sadly I think this experience is solidifying that my husband is not the partner I want in life. He doesn’t make me happy, we don’t have fun together and he hasn’t been there for me emotionally when I’ve needed him a few times during this. and this has magnified how important that all is. Kind of sad but realizing how important it is to be living the life you want to live
Sorry to hear that. But you know what you need to do
I came from non-profit and left because of the pay. I kinda wish I was a doctor. I’ve found myself in my spare time trying to organize to help (coordinating mask shipment, raising money for food delivery to hospitals). It makes me think I should do something more “meaningful” or honestly think about ways to fix some of these near term problems (supply chain issue, food waste, etc).
I 100% agree, I have been having a lot of thoughts about the type of impact I want to make in my life and the type of job that will actually make me happy everyday...

All I know is I would not do well in prison.

It makes me want to change careers and do something meaningful with my life. Both of my parents were in healthcare and my wife is an RN. I like Business but would love to make a real difference in the lives of others. Something more fulfilling
No, but I have realized that all my free time is spent doing nonessential activities 😭
made me remember my passion is writing, not copywriting. People say to me a lot that I’m lucky to have a job where I get paid to write. But having time to think about the stories I want to tell is making me want to put more time into personal projects and see where that can take me.

I’m now 100% committed to solving important problems and building trust in society.
Let’s hear some examples of how you’ll live out these values! 🙂
There is no purpose to this life. Once we die it is all over. Being here is nothing in the grand scheme of things.
VP1 sorry to hear that, hope you will find happiness in your life.
Like some of the folks, I too am questioning my purpose. I hear partners talking about making money figuring out how to make the most of this situation. I see people dying in our country and thinking I should consider social enterprises and impact funds. Need to start cutting down on excess and learn to survive on a smaller pay.
Thanks EY2. Also just realized this was about purpose and not rethinking your personal life like I misread, ha. But I guess happiness is part of purpose...
I mean not my whole purpose, but it has made me treasure being able to go outside as well as my health. I’m hoping to make the most of this time to make the lifestyle changes I’ll need to stay healthy for decades to come.
It made me realise I have no true purpose in life... and now I need to figure out how to define it, and I genuinely have no idea where to start from
We're all going to die someday. Yolo!
It’s made me realize I want to quit and do something more along the lines of therapy and yoga teaching
