The card pays for itself many times over due to the sign up bonus alone, assuming you mean the 5 free night certificate offer. I might use mine on a $250/night hotel. Assuming you use the recurring free night for $250, you get 2.5x your annual fee in value. Beyond the above and Marriott spend in general, keep it in a drawer or use it as a backup card when traveling, as there is no international usage fee.

It's a sock drawer card for the actual free night. If you can't use that, then it's probably best to close.
With that said, don't close any card for at least 1 year after opening. If you close a card too soon, you can get black listed from lenders.
