Anyone here not like their Marriott card? Don’t care so much for level, just want to know if anyone doesn’t like it.

The card pays for itself many times over due to the sign up bonus alone, assuming you mean the 5 free night certificate offer. I might use mine on a $250/night hotel. Assuming you use the recurring free night for $250, you get 2.5x your annual fee in value. Beyond the above and Marriott spend in general, keep it in a drawer or use it as a backup card when traveling, as there is no international usage fee.

I’m not understanding the question. Do you mean no longer use it?

It's a sock drawer card for the actual free night. If you can't use that, then it's probably best to close.

With that said, don't close any card for at least 1 year after opening. If you close a card too soon, you can get black listed from lenders.

I've heard a couple of things about how the partner pension amount @ PwC is determined, both similar in approach.

Both calculations I have heard of result in an annuity paid until death, at which point a surviving spouse (if any) receives the annuity.

The first calculation I have heard is that you get 80% of your highest earning year as a partner (e.g. If your best year was $1M, you'd get $800k as an annuity).

The second calculation I have heard is that they look at your three highest earning years as a partner, and take the second highest and you get 100% of that. (e.g if your three highest earning years were $1M, $800k, and $1.2M, you'd receive $1M as an annuity).

Is ANY of this true, or just all rumor? Any PwC partners that can chime in and explain the pension plan fact for fact? Perhaps with sample numbers?
