Anyone here recently got their six sigma green belt? How far in advance did you start studying for the exam (ASQ), and did you find it difficult? Giving myself a month but not sure if that’ll be enough to prep. If you all can share what resources you used that’d be great too. TIA!

Yes.

One month should be fine if you are diligent.

It is an open book test where you can have the textbook. Make sure you are familiar with the questions, but if you can flip through the text quickly then you can fact-check most questions during the test.

There are questions that will not 100% line up with an exact verbatim from the book, so some conceptual knowledge will help.

I think a month is a good amount of time. I completed mine in one week since it is open book but spend hours in a day reading the chapters and reviewing examples. As long as your diligent, you can get it done! Best of luck!

I'm accepting an offer with a new company... Start in early Aug. Senior Manager role, though in this company that equates to Manager at most consulting farms. They did not had hunt me. I came to them for the job.

I have COVID delayed vacations planned for the last week in August and the first week in October.

Should I just cancel one of them? Or should I at least put both on the table and see what they say? They're going to hire me either way, but I wonder if it's a bad start to ask for both.

Im confident in the value I can provide and do well at presenting it. However, once it’s comes down to me and 1-2 other candidates, I repeatedly have been turned down for the person who has more relevant experience as they’re a safer bet for the employer. Would love advice from anyone who’s dealt with this before. It’s tough to get them to take a risk on me
