My reporting manager hasn't yet reached out to me regarding goal setting, not sure if that happens here. Can you pls help me to know what all things we need to do from our end for the appraisal cycle and bonus payout? Since I'm new to this company KPMG KPMG India

The only real concern I have is a possible conflict of meetings. But J2 is only busy Jan-March then I coast the rest of the year. If one of them is 1099 make sure you set aside enough for taxes
I do, and always prioritize 1 job over the other. That job always takes precedent. No matter how well you try to sync calendars, there will be a conflict that pops up at least once. My other advice is to not try to be a high achiever at both. I have one job where I try to hit above the bar, and one that I did just slightly above average. Makes it easier.
I added up my tax burden with them both & had extra taken out at both jobs. You dont want a huge tax bill at the end of the year. You don't have to be insured on both, but you can to lower taxable income. I carried both for me & my family, but lowered the one to just the extra insurances & not health on the family.
I also max out pre-tax retirement at both (this is totally legal), & the FSP the both offer. I also buy Employee Shares at discount at 1 job too.
Always prioritize one job over the other and be willing to drop the job that becomes too demanding or if your main job will be affected. I have dropped second job twice. Always interview to keep your interview skills sharp and it helps to keep you current with how much market is paying.
Pay special attention to how you onboard at J2. Take a week or two of vacation from J1 so you can be fully present at J2, get a feel for the cadence of comms and the ebb and flow of work.
Also be watchful of burnout. I’ve had a few 3-4 month J2’s that completed at the perfect times, to give me a few months of a breather.
