I have two years of automotive/aerospace manufacturing experience and am looking for new opportunities. I recently applied to a Solution Engineer - Commercial Manufacturing, Automotive, Energy (MAE) role at Salesforce, and it sounds like a great fit. Is anyone willing to offer me a referral or advice on how to move forward in the hiring process? Salesforce

Full disclosure: I currently work for a competitor, but I worked at Sprinklr several years ago. From what I’ve heard from people who left recently, it’s pretty much the same as it was when I was there.
From my experience, the SE team was great—an incredibly smart group of people who went on to have solid careers as SEs after leaving Sprinklr. I learned a lot from my teammates and am a better SE because of them. The platform is very powerful and exciting to work with as an SE, but it’s challenging to use effectively unless you're a power user. This can create challenges during upsells, as the vision pitched is often not realized during implementation.
The sales culture there is terrible. The word "toxic" gets thrown around a lot, but that’s the term I would use. It embodies the worst kind of grind culture. When I was there, turnover was frequent for AE and CSM roles, which became a constant source of frustration for customers. It’s something you’ll likely have to work through as an SE at some point. Lots of turnover in sales leadership, too. It seemed like there was a new Sales Leader every few months.
As with any company, there are probably some great AEs there. Unfortunately, I didn’t get to work with many of them.
If you’re looking for a place to sharpen your skills for a year or two before moving to a company like Salesforce or Oracle, it can be a great spot. They work with some of the largest brands in the world, so you’ll gain valuable experience from that perspective. However, if you're looking for a place to stay long-term with good work life balance, I’d say Sprinklr is not that kind of place.
+1 to everything that LSE 1 said. I also worked there a while ago and it sounds like nothing has changed both from the strength of the SE team and toxicity of the sales leadership.
