Would love to hear your negotiation wins and fails, and lessons learned. One of my learnings is simply to ask. If you don't ask the answer is definitely no. My example was asking for additional equity. I got back a no, but was offered a signing bonus.
Don't you think it's high time ppl start calculating in hand salary and how much % hike to ask n all?? I feel that's immatured behaviour when few of them ask these questions 😐
Itna padliya, coding bhi ati h, exp bhi h... Phr kyu??
I recently got a very good offer from AWS, the only problem with the role is that it is an individual contributor role. I currently am a software engineering manager and manage 2 teams but I was severely underpaid. After I told my firm that I’d decided to leave they told me that they would match the salary and give me a promotion by the end of next year, which is also a good deal but the promotion is not guaranteed even though they said so. What should I do? Amazon
I gave notice today. I’m pretty happy. Moving on to a very sweet gig w/ a good chunk of practically guaranteed comp incr.2x per year over the next 4 years. I’ll miss my PA comrades...but that’s ok.
I work in accounting/finance and have been at my company for over 10 years. I am planning to leave and put in my notice right after I receive my bonus which is right around when “busy season” starts. Unfortunately more than half of my annual income comes from my bonus. I feel terrible about this because it will cause my team to work extra hours during a busy time, but the company is toxic. Any tips? I don’t want to burn bridges with the non-toxic folks.
How much % raise in base salary would you accept in an offer to move from Gov to private?
I’m interviewing for a business analyst role in my company and I’m excited but the dilemma I’m facing is that I’m a junior manager now and it’ll be step down from being in leadership but it’ll be a step up in career and salary wise. I just don’t know what to do. I was banking on my manager retiring in the next few years and taking over but I don’t want to stall my career. What would you do?!
Per current SPG promo, does that mean if I do 3 different stays a week, I'll get 1000*3 bonus a week? Seems too good

I got an offer with fintech company and currently finished a background check. I saw a mark on my credit, partially due to write off that I have since paid out. Should I be worried over getting rejected due to employee credit. I haven't heard from my prospectove employer

‼️DATING SOMEONE IN COMPETING FIRM‼️Anyone have any experience dating someone that works at a competitor ? I’m a new hire and I’ve been reading the policies and it seems really strict. For ex:
(1) can a person at MasterCard date someone working for a competitor (AmEx) or merchant partner (any company that accepts MasterCard ex: Google) ?
And (2) If they CAN date, does this need to be reported to their leader and HR, etc ? (Most people don’t want their company knowing about their personal life)
I'm currently a technical account manager (TAM) at a large SaaS company. It's the first ever FT job offer I got and that's a big reason I accepted it: as a recent college grad, I wanted to finally get my foot in the door & get professional experience. The hiring manager also touted "consulting and strategic thought partner experience".
I really don't like the job so far (about 9 months in). What skills do you gain as a TAM, & what's the career trajectory? Is it mostly just client management?
Job postings from “Crossover for work”, director jobs are over 400-500k as per posting. Is that real? What’s the catch?

Can anyone offer insight into a meta exploratory call? I had a meta referral, but was not moved forward with any of the 3 roles I was referred to . I got an email telling me that I was not going to be interviewed and the offer for an exploratory call from an advisor (not recruiter) on the referral team. Is this just part of their process when you are referred and no interviews for any role? I'm doing the call but does it ever lead into anything or just a "nice" thing they do? Facebook (Meta)
Has anyone here left a great job to start their own company? Did you do it alone or with cofounders? Did you bootstrap? How advanced was it before you quit your job?
Quit my job and it felt so good, my Manager was an extraordinarily nasty person! Wondering if I should give HR the real feedback at the exit interview or just pretend everything is okay and move on. Thoughts? Manager has no empathy, has a clique within the team and openly plays favourite within the team. Example with flexible holiday her favourites can take 30 days a year but others like me are not allowed above 15 days. Will it make a difference telling HR for the sake of others in the future?
I’m trying to gauge what base salary I should be looking for, as I haven’t changed companies in 9 years. I’m a global team lead with 19 years experience in the telco and UC industry. Looking to stay in a specialist sales leader role, but wanting to work in a new environment. Any ideas?
In your experience, does "flexible schedule" mean you can finish your work and log off for the day or you'll be working way past normal 9-5 hours?

Around 96k sounds right. Took a glance at Glassdoor
^^ Trueee, but honestly the two people I know in the role started at $80k. Don't know if hiring rates nowadays are higher
I think you're more on target with $80k.
I would go a bit higher than the $80k figure with the YOE you have
