Anyone in the Houston area have any reasonable and trustworthy vet recommendations? My golden retriever has not been drinking water regularly and keeps vomiting. I’ve only been able to convince her to eat ice cubes

Westbury Animal Clinic - they are fabulous. When the K9 dog got shot a couple of weeks ago in the shoot out near Bellaire, that’s where they took the dog.

The Urban Vet

Sounds like a more short-term issue, but long-term consider getting a fountain if you don’t have one. Makes it a bit more fun

Thank you! We did have one but the office was bought out and we didn’t like the new vet.

Highly recommend Dexter and Evie Veterinary Clinic + Urgent Care if you’re in the Med Center area. They accept walk ins and great at accommodating last minute / emergency appointments. One of my dogs gets pancreatitis flare ups and this place has been great when I need to bring her in immediately for IV fluids

I use VCA Ashford. Great group of vets.

Go back to feeding her like a baby. She has something like food or a piece of toy lodged inbetween where her inner throat to her middle part of esophagus. Start with getting a baby bottle and some dog milk or liquid meal. This will expand slightly like dog food but slightly faster to cling to and create an inner linner in the stomach land throat area. Within a day put milk in small size(puppy) kibble for a total of 2 days intil she holds the food down for longer than a total of 24 to 30 hour period. Reason being, she will sleep a lot the first few days do to the consumption of milk and discomfort mentally from not having meat or snacks. 🥺 By day 4 put milk in with Larger (Adult) kibble, for 1 day/<at least 2 servings>. Day 5, give her the Larger kibble BY ITSELF. If she is keeping her food down, there you have it! 'Slowly' filter in small amounts of any left over puppy kibble in with Adult kibble so there is no waist. (WARNING-- There will be lots of watery stool until stool is solid again. This will take place the whole process until day 5. By day 7, there should be no more watery stool.)

Houston Spay and Neuter - Dr. Hana is a saint and genius - started the clinic on her own. Also west Alabama animal clinic. Avoid the crazy overpriced animal hospitals if you can.

Accenture Hello, this past December I applied to a Devops role at Accenture. I didn’t get the position but I looked on their website and noticed they have an software engineer apprenticeship. I emailed the recruiter about the apprenticeship but she didn’t get back to be. But after telling me I didn’t get the position she did say to wait six months to apply for another position. I really think I would be a good fit for the apprenticeship. What can anyone recommend? Can I possibly get a referral.

Renters: if you love your place, please let me know. My apartment complex is mehhh now and rent for my 2 bedroom/2bathroom, 1100 sq. ft. apartment is going up to $2,600+. I don’t mind the price but I need more amenities for it to be worth it. Also is Hanover worth the hype?

I’m relocating to the US from an international rotation to work in Galveston. I have never been to Texas and I am trying to find the best spot for my family to live in. So far from reading online it sounds like Pearland is a good option but I have not been able to validate that/ figure out what other options are out there. I would appreciate all advice:
1. Would you recommend living in Pearland?
2. What are other good areas to live in? Safe and would like to be less than 1 hour from Galveston.
