Anyone leave during big four manager 1? Any interviewing tips and tricks? So far I’m finding my experience short for assistant controller roles but interviewers seem worried that I’m not longer in the weeds or hands on enough for senior accounting roles

I have been job searching (currently unemployed) for 5 months now and am emotionally drained from doing on average 6-8 interviews a week now. Made it to the final rounds to a couple but ended up getting ghosted after or was not offered the job. Advice on how to stay positive? I’m not seeing the light at the end of the tunnel atm

Had my interview on 12th Feb evening. The same day late night I got an email asking to upload the Application form( Completed the same on 13th Feb). Can I understand only HR discussion pending for me? If yes how much time will it take for me to get the HR call.

My résumé and portfolio are great, and I’ve been asked to interview with Amazon for 4 different teams now. However, it seems like I’m not making it past the first 1:1 interview. 3 out of 4 have resulted in not the right fit for reasons unknown; they don’t provide any feedback either. I just got an offer for a senior software developer role at $150k starting. It is a small start up with 28 people in the team and AI driven. My recent salary was $118 so it is quite a jump for me and I really liked the VP I spoke to. Very somber and smart guy.
However, I have several other interviews coming up ranging from big corporate to app companies. Shall I decline the current offer to explore more or accept it but push my start day to later so I could stillbdo the other interviews?

I’m not from an English speaking country but I am watching a tv show and businessmen walk into a room and instead of greeting eachother, everyone says each person’s first name in lieu of hi, however in my experience working in the states, I haven’t seen anyone do this, it’s always hi or good afternoon or some other greeting first THEN they say their first name. is it also appropriate to omit the greeting?

Accounting advisory big4 or IA at F100. Both senior roles. Roughly same base pay.

Big4 has clear trajectory and interesting work.

F100 has 14% bonus, perm remote, and immediate vesting 401k over 7%.

I am contemplating a move to industry working at a VC, Tax Director role east coast. Looks like it will be primarily overseeing compliance with some aspect of advising on structures etc. There is another tax reporting head above me.

The potential comp is the low 200k with a 10% bonus (still higher than what I am making). I feel this is pretty low for VC standards but maybe my standards are also too high. I have generally seen 25% bonus with carry.

Any thoughts?
