Full of mob guys
Know people from there and it’s a great town to raise a family, good downtown area, close enough to NYC. Are you interested in moving there?
Thanks I’m probably a couple years away from a move if I do it. My wife and I need a promotion or two before we can justify it. I feel like you need $400k+ HHI to live there comfortably.
I grew up nearby and it has a great downtown, good schools, and there are express trains and regular buses into the city.

I grew up in North Jersey. That's a nice area, but like everywhere else in that region, it's very expensive. If you haven't seen the property taxes yet make sure you're sitting down when you do. Annual property taxes north of $15k is not at all uncommon.
I grew up there and live in one of the nearby towns on the same train line. Great area, but taxes are (not surprisingly) high. $30k.
Most residents are doctors (given the nearby hospital) or NY commuters. Amongst the best public education in NJ but high $$$ taxes. S-tier downtown area emulated by many. Homes on smaller plot sizes but offering more village feel. Good place to raise a family but nearby towns also solid given trade-offs
Recently moved to a different North Jersey town. Probably the best combo of lifestyle and schools in Bergen County, but it’s a farther nyc commute than you’d expect due to distance and train transfer.
Did you switch jobs for it or just transfer? I’m curious because I’m wondering which is better to do
