Anyone make the leap from Accenture to Deloitte? Was it a better fit, experience, and culture? Was it not?

Had just 1 year at ACN Tech Consulting before making the leap. D Recruiters tend to reach out to you first. While I enjoyed my time at ACN, the fit and experience for me was better at D. Deloitte culture of owning your career is real, vs at Accenture I’d have to fight really hard to get onto a non-tech Consulting role. Networking at Accenture didn’t seem to have nearly as much of a benefit at least for getting on desired projects I’d say this, if i left consulting, and had to come back, I’d rather return to D than >

I went from ACN to D. The culture is pretty similar and if your in technology we're using a lot more offshore resources so it's starting to look like ACN. We're actually losing out on a ton of deals to you guys right now and there is a hiring freeze so I'd probably look elsewhere.

Plenty of people here from Accenture. I’d look on LinkedIn and see who you can chat wktj

I am looking to go to Accenture since everyone left ACN to come to DC. More opportunities and yes, DC is loosing business to ACN.

Had a recruiter from D reach out to me this week so the hiring freeze might not be 💯 accurate.

My offer is stuck between verbal and written letter due to the freeze :/

Solid perspective everyone!!! Thank you.

Deloitte question. I have always gotten a raise each year, the only question I ask is how much of a raise do I get. But I’m hearing from former Deloitte folks, it is naive to expect annual raises each year however small/big they are? And how does this play in Deloitte consulting vs advisory? Do one tend to withhold annual raises in base salary over the other, or is this just a deloitte culture thing? Looking at exit opportunities all over. So lmk! I’d Rather get a small raise than none at all.

Are any companies honest and just say that “We’re here for the money and so are you. If we want to keep you, we’ll pay you just enough to keep you from leaving if that makes sense for us. Software Sales question: I just got a job offer to join a post-Series A with under 20 employees. On the equity piece, I was offered .1% equity at a $142m valuation. I am hoping for some advice. I was a young mom (17 when pregnant) and ended up having three kids by 23. I’ve since pulled myself up by my boot straps and am doing well in my career and have seen good trajectory. The thing is, it’s always nagged at me that I never went to college. I don’t want to go to college in the traditional sense but my new employer offers some tuition reimbursement (if related to the job). I’m in tech, specifically software. What should I look into?

I feel totally blindsided by the interview I just had. I talked informally with Partner 1 before the interview and was told the position would be in one of the firm’s satellite offices. Then, during an interview with Partner 1 and Partner 2, Partner 2 mentioned that I’d have to move to the state where the firm is headquartered because he believes face-time is really important for training/mentoring. I have no plans to move and really hope this wasn’t all a huge waste of time.
