No, I don’t regret my MBA! But I regret that I haven’t done justice to my MBA yet.
I don't regret the experience itself, but doing a part-time MBA cost me a promotion. And it was super expensive and has not helped me with job prospects or increased my pay. But the experience of doing an MBA itself was super fun.
The full time programs definitely make it easier with the internship pathway.
I know several people in my T15 who regret the MBA.
Oh, that's a hard question because some people do better in environments that are less toxic/competitive, and to other people, the toxicity of the environment doesn't matter. Fwiw, we need to—and we can—"find our people" wherever we go, and people become toxic during recruiting at any school. It's business school after all—it's just that some school cultures are more toxic than others.
I'd say prioritize the financial aid package vs. cost of attendance, recruiting results, and strength of the alumni network.
In my first year at a t15 so still too early to tell but I'm gonna say no. The key is knowing exactly why you are getting an MBA and choosing a school that will help you reach those goals. The MBA is a terrible place to explore if you have no clue what you want to do and you also shouldn't choose it just for the academics.
I went in wanting to pivot to investment banking, travel, and make new friends. Have already been successful two of them and if my internship goes well that'll be 3 for 3
Associate is right, but with all due respect, as an MBA2, I'd like to point out that you're only 25% through your MBA journey. I'm happy for you, but your attitude towards your MBA may shift even 33% of the way through, which is what I observed in many of my classmates (definitely by the beginning of MBA2 year).
I'm not sure if an MBA1's perspective will hold as much weight as those who are 75% of the way through or those who have already graduated.

My experience going to Booth and observations of friends a year out of graduation:.
You’ll get a ton from it if:
- You’re career switching and have a clear idea of what you want to go into
- You have an open mind about meeting different types of people
- You are “involved” and like to do clubs, competitions, join things you haven’t done before
- Never taken finance, accounting, or business coursework before
You won’t get a lot out of it if:
- You want to “explore” different careers or not sure what you want to do
- You are cliquey and typically have a tight-knit friend group
- You are are just “advancing” your career (PE going back into PE, consulting going to consulting etc)
