Priority Pass killed non lounge experiences [aka bars] for Amex Platinum members. Flying out of DCA on the regular sort of killed one of the perks of this card since they don't have an actual lounge.
Why do you think our industry is struggling to find minority talent? Been working for a couple years now and am always in a sea of vanilla...

Pharma/biotech: does anyone know what the salary range is for manager quality assurance role in South San Francisco area?
I’m making 60K as a SMC in San Diego. Went from being a junior writer to this. Am I being paid appropriately?
- fairly decent place to work (from someone who worked with the Vancouver and San Jose offices). never met a blue badger (permanent employee) who had awful things to say.
- Ashley Goodall (their SVP, Methods & Intelligence) co-authored a brilliant book on leadership and people management called “Nine Lies About Work” that makes me believe they can be an awesome place to work
- red badgers had low morale since they’re contract workers and can be terminated at any time
Just moved here but are there any social clubs for black young professionals in NYC? Really trying to avoid a SoHo house…
Ex: gathering spot in ATL and DC, Urban League YPs in Houston, etc
I’ve done media management on 3 unscripted shows now, the last was a 3 year contract on a talk show. An earlier one I was embedded city subjects at sea for 4 months. I was a gaffer and key grip for a decade before that with occasional Cam Op gigs and did a bunch of one person crew unscripted content for clients along the way too. Often I end up doing the labor of 4 or 5 people while having 3 or more managers that just send emails. Any tips for protecting myself from this happening again?
Where exactly is the TSA pre line in EWR terminal C? The last few times I’ve flown out of EWR, it’s been so confusing ...
I recently ended a three-year relationship and are looking to move to a new city to start fresh. I’m looking for an affordable city with good nature perks (mostly hiking, camping). With PwC’s wfh policy I’m able to not go to the office. However, I’m still early in my career and I still would like to stay reasonably close to a PwC office. I’m really interested in SLC, but I’ve also seen people saying it’s kind of conservative. I’m Asian and non US citizen so that’s why I have concerns.
Any thoughts on buying a 3bdrm condo in Chicago? I know the market is hot and property taxes are high, but wondering if the chicago market is like San Francisco and will keep going up no matter what happens with interest rates, the economy or property taxes. Should I take the plunge and buy or do many you think I should hold off? I know no one has a crystal ball, but just trying to get a sense for the current thinking from more experienced home buyers. This will be my first home purchase.
Any idea the pay difference between austin tx vs San Antonio as an experienced surgical tech?

I started at a litigation firm around 6 months ago. I took a pay cut for the position under the direction that the billable hours would be much less at this firm. As it has turned out this is not the case and if anything my hours have increased.
I plan on sticking it out six more months to total a year before I move on. Is one year enough time in a position to make a move?
What do you think of mid-levels who work with juniors and fail to give them credit when submitting work to partners? I find it unfair and dishonest and it only leads to resentment and poor team dynamics. I’m really getting tired of it and I want to react so it stops happening. Any advice?
Possible position as the only writer on the internal creative team for a rapidly expanding start-up. Title is Copywriter. Have 5 years agency experience. Thoughts on salary I can negotiate? (Chicago)
I have an interview with a hiring manager for IBM towards the end of the day and was wondering if anyone can give me any tips on the interview process (Integration Dev)? I already feel wildly unqualified for the position (as I made this known to the recruiter who reached out to me) but still managed to have the HM want to speak with me. Thank you so much in advance 🙂
What's the consensus on telling a company I'm interviewing with (my top pick) that I've got an offer from another company (I'd take this job if the other one doesn't make an offer)? Is there any possibility this bites me in the butt and the top choice company says see ya?

Will there be a salary bubble like the housing bubble? Hearing how much people with 2-7 yrs experience are getting offered to move companies is blowing my mind. At some point this is not going to be sustainable and salaries will drop back down to reality. However, I am concerned that all of those folks with inflated salaries will get in situations they can’t support after the correction. Then what happens?
Hi! Does anyone know of any companies looking for senior ecomm managers or a website experience/optimization manager? Looking for remote opportunities (ideally!)

Flying Southwest with wife and infant child tomorrow. As most of you know there are no seat assignments. I’m going to board first and hold the seat next to me so that my wife can board with our baby at the very end of boarding to minimize their time on the plane. What are the chances other passengers will make a fuss that I’m holding a good seat upfront during boarding?
I’m sure this has been asked before but I can’t find it.
