There was at least one conference in the island last week and the hotel was fine. It depends on the area.
Call your airline & hotel. Really depends on where you were planning to stay.
I don’t know that I can rely on the hotel to tell me to cancel or not......
From what I’ve seen it seems like the southern part of the island was most effected; San Juan is northern and seems to have been affected less
Yes we are staying in San Juan right near the airport. It’s way northeast as opposed to the earthquakes which were in the southwest. Most recent reports are saying that the tremors were felt as far north as San Juan.
Just left PR today. We stayed in San Juan and it was fine. We experienced a few earthquakes, but they were short.
If you go south, the locals said it gets worse and, in some places, no electricity for months to come.
Even if you are mostly staying in the north, I recommend bringing some more cash than you were planning just in case.
