Anyone use SoFi banking? What do you think of their member benefits offerings (e.g, free CFP check ins, events, career coaching, etc)?

Those benefits are pretty wack but the interest % is good. I like the user interface. Solid app.

I don’t think there are fees (certainly not for my consultation), but I don’t think they are a fiduciary either. I think the value they add for sofi is selling products to the users, which may or may not be good.

I like Sofi a lot but haven't taken advantage of the things you mentioned. I initially got it for the cash bonus and high interest ($275 and 3%) but ended up making it my main bank. 2 day early paychecks, stocks, crypto, loans... good platform overall.

I'll need to look into those extra benefits, although I have a pretty good view of my investments already so maybe not.

I might get roasted for asking such a basic question but - how much do you budget for eating out ($ amount or % of budget)?

Pre pandemic I was traveling 5 days a week and just used left over per diem on the one night I went out with friends at home. During covid I stayed home. Now that I’m fully vaccinated and are many of my friends they want to go out to eat/drink. During covid I moved from a LCOL to here so I’m experiencing delayed sticker shock at the prices. Any tips?

CFP study programs:

I'm a little confused on Danko - does he offer a self-study option for the coursework requirement? On his website it looks like each module has a 4-day virtual class which I wouldn't be able to attend due to working full time. Does this program also include self-study material, and the classes are just supplementary/optional? I was also looking at Dalton for self-study and Danko for test prep. Thoughts?

For those of you in healthcare related account management, what is your healthcare background? I am clinical and getting ready to hire a higher level account manager. I am really biased toward people with clinical/in hospital experience because, quite frankly, healthcare is a different beast - lots of hand holding and change management. I don’t want to miss the right person because of my bias, so im wondering how many healthcare related AMs have healthcare/clinical experience… thanks in advance!

What is PwC India for you?
It's a Big4 but will lowball you during offer negotiation.
It will ask you to work on multiple projects but will hardly appreciate or value your work.
They will ask you to come to the office on Sunday for business critical work and won't give any cab or food facilities.
You will be involved in multiple extra work, which you normally don't do in other service based companies. But there is no benefits/perks for that, you just end up doing extra work!!

I went through two rounds of interviews for
a job that the posting stated $36.66 per
hour (FP&A Analyst)…the company
recruiter had told me in the initial call the
pay could be 32-36 because of the other
benefits. If I do get a job offer what range
should I try for? I was really hoping to get
around the 36-40 but now I feel like they
may try to offer lower than what was
posted. Also there was no range but the
average for this position is upper 70s-90k.
Thanks for any help!

I'm SVP/strategy for a PR agency. I moved into PR, Healthcare, and Strategic Planning only 3 years ago. An agency recruiter is trying to convince me to move into a GSVP account role, assuring me "at that level it's all strategy." (I dont think she understands the words she's using. Or that I'm qualified). But long-term, knowing account roles are so much more plentiful than brand planning in PR, I'm wondering if I should start thinking about account. Anyone here moved from strategy to account?
