Those benefits are pretty wack but the interest % is good. I like the user interface. Solid app.

I don’t think there are fees (certainly not for my consultation), but I don’t think they are a fiduciary either. I think the value they add for sofi is selling products to the users, which may or may not be good.

I like Sofi a lot but haven't taken advantage of the things you mentioned. I initially got it for the cash bonus and high interest ($275 and 3%) but ended up making it my main bank. 2 day early paychecks, stocks, crypto, loans... good platform overall.

I'll need to look into those extra benefits, although I have a pretty good view of my investments already so maybe not.

What’s Centene’s reputation to the outside world? You can be honest. I understand the overall distain for health insurance companies in general. I’ve been experiencing a lot of internal conflict after surviving 2 acquisitions in 4 years, most recently by Centene. All it took was 1 Google search to make me start questioning everything.

I have a lot of student debt from law school. I’ve refinanced a couple of times and received the best fixed rate available, but I’ve seen others refinance with a variable rate which of course is lower. I’ve read some other comments of people refinancing at a super low variable rate....isn’t this risky? Of course I am afraid of going variable and then the interest rates going up a lot. So, I’m struggling. Used to be a pathological saver and had tons on money anxiety. Now, I have totally fallen victim to lifestyle creep and need to cut back on frivolous expenses (eating out and clothing). I’m SO ashamed that my monthly spend is so high (approx $7k/month). I make big law money and can afford it but I am stunned at how easily I spend money now. I’d like to divert more of that cash to retirement, but I need to rein in that spending before I do. My husband used to make a little more money 10 years ago when we first met (when we were both making under 60k). Then I started climbing a fast track career ladder and now make a total comp of close to 300k and he is still under 80k... (which is totally fine with me btw). We are first time home buyers, found 2 homes that we like. After a 20% down, monthlies (mortgage, insurance & hoa) for the smaller one are coming in at 20% of HHI, whereas payments for the slightly larger/nicer one are coming in at 30% of HHI. We have no other debt. Conflicted on which one to pick. Which one would you pick? TIA!
