Received an offer as Engagement Director from Salesforce (CSG, pre sales, L9). Great benefits package, 40% increase in total comp and better WLB.
I do love the people in my practice and current client, but career trajectory has stalled after taking parental leave earlier this year and (yet another) change in leadership.
Realistically, making to Director is 2-3 years away and will require sacrificing time with my family that I am not prepared to give up.
Should I stay or should I go?
I've heard pharma pays well. Is it true?

In support roles, a lot of banks don't give big raises unless you get promoted or move to a new firm. Don't expect much, essentially.
Agreed. Very minimal in support roles unless you jump ship.
Sorry to be off topic - were you a lateral hire?
Nope
If you dont mind me asking, how many years have you worked in Ops that you're making 125K as a VP?
@JPM1 I've heard of lots of people getting $125K as VPs in support functions. You can hit that fairly young if you move around enough. I'm also assuming that's base for OP since bonuses aren't as big a piece of the comp package.
Im only 2 years behind you (2013 grad) and I make 80k as an associate. Looks like you're in a pretty good spot.
Not sure with promotions but every year, it should be about 10% base bump. But if I were to guess going from asso to vp, i hope its at least a 15 or 20k bump.
JPM1 - 7 months
Is it me or does 125 at vp level seem super little? Im avp and make 140 base... What do i have to look forward to ?!
@DB1 I think DB has higher bases to make up for our lower bonuses. Did you come in externally?
DB2 - assuming you are also in Ops? How many years of experience do you have under your belt?
I graduated in 2011, so not that many. Came externally also
What is the general base salary increase that is expected upon promotion? Either percentage-wise or in terms of lump sum?
Perhaps some more detail would help - MBA in 2010 with a focus on finance, career switch in 2015 to ops at another bank, joined BofA seven month ago at VP, salary $125k + expected February bonus of $25k, and next November I plan to ask for a substantial pay raise effective Jan/Fed 2018 - i.e. two years after I joined the company. Thoughts on how much I should ask for?
It's crazy that you have an MBA too and switched recently, yet they offered you so little with a recent switch. Id ask for a pay raise sooner. Just my opinion.
Thx!
