Can anyone help me wrap my head around this post Series C start-up equity offer? It’s an IP director position, the the base is $170 with 10% bonus (both lower than I was expecting). There’s also an equity component: 0.15% of current fully diluted equity. This equates to about 30000 shares at a strike price of $2. They also indicate the preferred stock price is $6 and preferred stock equity is $188k (whatever that means). They are in the middle of a new financing and valuation round.

Have an interview with a company I really want to work for tomorrow. My last job I was laid off b/c of an acquisition&recently accepted a job at a diff company b/c I couldnt afford not to. I got this invite shortly after. The place I’m interviewing at the job wouldn’t start til next year. I dont want to seem like a job hopper. Do i tell them I’m at a new role or just not bring it up? The acquisition was public so they can see Im no longer employed with the most recent work history on my resume

Just got another rejection... Is exiting to FAANG or MB really this hard? Trying to go tech.. or mbb, but not getting anywhere. I have 2 masters (mba, ms) from top schools, been in consulting for over 10 years, I am confident that I know my stuff well..but still I keep getting rejected. Interviewed with Google, Amazon, Cisco, McKinsey, and a few others and every-time there is something that is not a match... are the hiring managers looking for like 100% match? I have an experience of 6 years in Production and Application Support. I have worked as middleware administrator as well for Jboss and Weblogic.
But due to the diminishing demands of the role in IT industry , I am planning to switch my career in Devops or AWS which would help me grow.
But I am not sure without any practical knowledge, will I get a job at this many years of experience in a different profile.
