Hi A1, I haven’t seen a huge amount of IA in demand, but I am working on a few unposted opportunities. If you would be interested in discussing, DM me.

You probably want to mass mail everyone and see what you can get. International arbitration is a somewhat niche practice so their headcount needs can be very specific at a given time.

I asked for revised compensation from infosys based on parallel offer letter and got below response:
Compensation is determined for various roles, based on the competency and the experience a candidate comes in with. We also look at ensuring parity amongst any other internal employee with similar competency.  Considering these facts, we will not be in position to change compensation.
Please advise how to negotiate further.

Meta reached out to me for an initial chat about TPM (technical program management) role. Pretty generic sounding team but has anybody heard of this division and what they do?

Also comp wise, how much does a TPM make at Meta (take the title for face value)? Glassdoor shows avg base is 226k for YOE >15. Myth?

What is a reasonable base to expect from a client side tech company. Head of BA role? Currently solo BA but looking to scale the department.

I am a 5 year experienced developer and am applying for position as a developer in bank. I have cleared the assignment, interview and soft skills. I next have an offer interview scheduled but it’s with the IT chapter lead and the Manager instead of the recruiter. That feels bit weird and I feel they would talk me on a low salary because I am “not so experienced”. I did interview at another company earlier and they refused to pay the salary I asked for because I wasn’t senior enough. Any tips ?

So I work for a multimillion dollar company
Here’s my dilemma. I started as a temp in the traffic department as a scheduler in April of 2021. I was making 44K a year with ZERO benefits.
I applied for a different position in logistics and got the job! BUT is came with a HUGE pay cut. I went from making 44K a year to 32K. I work my butt off and feel like I should be making more for my responsibilities. I’ve only been here a year but I do more than I should.
Is it too soon to renegotiate my pay?

Manhattan Law Firms Eye Wall Street’s Lead on Office Returns

As Wall Street banks and the law firms that advise them push to get employees back to the office, lawyers at most large New York firms are expected to hit targets of three days per week.
Hybrid schedules, with office work taking place Tuesday through Thursday, is a popular format at many firms. For law firm leaders, a major factor in RTO decisionmaking has been the need to develop junior lawyers who’ve worked..

Wondering if it’s just my v20 firm but it is so annoying when you have to work for incompetent partners that do not have the capability or stamina to do the work, but have one client or bring in one large matter every couple years. Ok this one’s for my fellow adhd’ers and auties: are we pro or against disclosing? Feels like it’d help my partners understand why I’m so good at certain things and absolute shite at others, rather than just thinking I’m lazy. But also, disclosure = risk of stigma. Where do people fall? For the seniors/counsel/partners, would you want your associates to disclose something like this or is it just irrelevant/going to make you think they’re just a problem for you even if you like their work?

Need to tell my building this week if I’m renewing my lease. My firm currently has a target date of returning to the office early fall. Anyone else hear anything about return dates? Most likely getting fired, tips on how to find a job ASAP? I made a pretty big mistake that required supplemental filings with government offices to fix (missed some items when reviewing/comparing long lists of things across 20-30 years). It’s fixable and the client isn’t really getting hurt by this (worst case signing gets delayed), but my anxiety is telling me to prepare for the worst. Can I ask for extra time at the firm to find a new job (so I wasn’t “fired”)? Or should I go for severance?
