I have utilized 50% so far, so in the next six months of performance, to reach an overall 80% (which is expected according to standards, please correct me if I'm mistaken), I would need to work around 30 days out of the remaining 111 days.

Is this computation accurate?
My calculation was like this
(0.5+(x/111)=80%

How do I say to my counselor, "be prepared to see a big fall of my utilization because of things out of my control" without sounding like complaining or having a lot of negativity?

hey, I joined Deloitte in June 2020 as an GPS SA analyst, I just staffed on internal project only providing me adjusted utilization. Now my standard util is 40 and my adjusted is 105... and this project last in another month... by then my standard util might be 20.. will my promotion be affected by this? My target promotion year on TOD is 2022. My manager said we might sell to client and extend this project in September but nothing guaranteed.

Consulting firms, how does your company use utilization as a performance metric? And what are your targets (e.g, Junior practitioners vs senior)

In the last PDM town hall, they said they were going to lower utilization targets for those that work on projects with capped hours. For those people, have you seen your utilization target lowered? I haven’t seen shit change for me.
