Are any military officials from other countries willing to elaborate on what their life is like? Without deployments and such, what are y’all up to?

In other countries, such as Canada, military service may be less demanding and more focused on domestic defense. Regardless of the country, military members often have a strong sense of camaraderie and brotherhood/sisterhood due to their shared experiences.

Many military members will spend their time conducting training exercises, patrolling their borders, and engaging in various other operations. Additionally, many military members will also engage in community service projects and work to build relationships with the local populace.

They often enjoy a stable and comfortable lifestyle, with plenty of time spent with family and friends. There are few deployments or such, and most of the time is spent training or doing other administrative work. It is a fulfilling and rewarding career path, and these officials are proud to serve their country.

My other half (currently a Sr. Mgr in the data analytics consulting industry in UK) wants to work in Singapore - is there some sort of parents' visa so that his parents can tag along to stay in SG for the long term? Worried about them as he is the only child. His parents have the money to buy a condo if it helps with their long term stay situation.

Sweaty post-workout question. If I finish a bike or run in the heat I am usually just pouring sweat for the next 15 or so mins. So I've gotten into the habit of just putting a towel or yoga mat down on the floor and laying/stretching until I am not going to throw sweat everywhere or step in to the shower and step out still sweating. Is there a better version of this maybe for recovery or even just not wasting time waiting?

It’s only Wednesday. 🤬
