Are EY recruiters automatically allowed to bump sign on bonus to 10k from 5k? I was negotiating with recruiter and she came back to me a little too quick saying she checked with leadership but offer was same base + 10k sign on (instead of 5k). I see two crowds these days. One thinks housing market will crash. The other thinks housing market will soar.

The contrarian in me makes me think this is a decent indication that housing market will stagnate (or increase minimally) for a few years.

As a general rules, I feel like the majority cannot foresee a crash/surge coming. The prevalence of such expectations would hamper the pre-conditions necessary for such a dramatic change.
