Ask for 35%.
Say "I've done my research and a representative salary range for this position is $x to y. Then tell them 3-5 reasons/examples of how you will help them reach their biggest goals or clear their biggest obstacles for the year, thus you are worth that much.
Have the data to back it up.
You aren't being paid a premium for leaving consulting, you are being paid a premium because of the scope and nature of the role. Find out how much people in that role in comfortable companies are making, evaluate your relative competencies to those in that role and determine how much you would expect to make. Communicate that to the employer and get what you deserve. If a 35% bump aligns you w the market then that's what you should be asking for/getting. Perhaps the prospective employer bases their offer on your prior comp, but in the end of the day, if the market pays above that, you should communicate that that is what you are worth in thus market
