Are layoffs really happening? For account services in pharma advertising. I want to quit but I wonder if this is a bad time

Hi, received an offer from another Big4 in Amsterdam (currently working in Eastern Europe), but relocating, I’m concerned about potential layoffs in the coming period being the last to join the team.

Have an interview with a company I really want to work for tomorrow. My last job I was laid off b/c of an acquisition&recently accepted a job at a diff company b/c I couldnt afford not to. I got this invite shortly after. The place I’m interviewing at the job wouldn’t start til next year. I dont want to seem like a job hopper. Do i tell them I’m at a new role or just not bring it up? The acquisition was public so they can see Im no longer employed with the most recent work history on my resume

How is VISA managing the upcoming economic slowdown? Any word of slowdown in hiring or hiring freeze? How did VISA manage employees during the Covid recession? Any layoffs occur then?

Hey team! So I was laid off from my SDR position about a week ago. A couple months back, I had an offer for a BDR position that I ended up turning down but I really liked and connected with the manager. Is it worth it to reach out? I applied to other positions in the same company. What about reaching out to previous co workers at a different company? Not sure how to navigate this… please help. Quiet firings are happening through out the industry right now. Agencies have become better about hiding the layoffs and firings. Not a good thing…

I heard from my head that there is a lot of slowdown in VW Germany... There is Hiring freeze, level freeze and all ... And soon that will spillover to india. So be prepared for very less hikes in coming cycle :( Also automotive sector in general is struggling with tesla laying off 10% workforce recently. Maybe time to make a move? What do you say fishes?

Anyone else feel like as you move up, you have to work even harder to justify your value to your company as you grow “out of the weeds”? Especially with the fear of layoffs looming over everyone’s heads.

Also I have offer from hcl 14lpa and baker hughes and I have not negotiated offer with any of them. YOE - 3.5yrs. Also my notice period ending next month 8th July. Wondering what people think about my situation. I’ve been offered a role with a company. The job description didn’t mention college degree as a requirement. On my CV I have a section listed as “Education” and under it I have “Business Studies” with the university name and the 3 years that I attended the course (2.5 to be exact). It’s a 4 year degree and under this I have my High School equivalent with the years I attended there. The education wasn’t mentioned in the interviews. Continued below.
