I've been using it for over a year. It's a good card if:
- You're not a churner (no sign up bonus)
- You rent and plan to keep renting (doesn't work on mortgage)
- You will remember to use the card 5 times a month in order to get points (really 4 times since rent counts as 1)
- You value their transfer partners (cashing out or using towards Amazon is a poor redemption, but better than nothing I guess)
Overall solid card for renters. Also gives 3x dining, 2x travel, 1x everything/rent, with all (except rent) doubling on the 1st of each month. Not sure how long it'll last as idk how they can afford this once VC money dries up.

Agree, with only a few comments:
There isn’t an official sign on bonus, but there is usually a promo of bonus points based on spend as soon as you get the card. So it’s smart to have some spend you can knock out quickly. It’s usually 5x for 5 days up to 50,000 points.
The bank behind it is Wells Fargo. Terrible bunch of crooks. Their autopay was broken if you also had rent protection on (now fixed). I’ve had fraud on the card (as have many others, see Reddit).
BILT has had incredible promotions in the past. Truly unprecedented transfer bonuses. But the VC money will eventually run out. The CEO says they have funding for a few more years already, but I suspect the days of crazy 150% bonuses are limited.
Still, a great card, and honestly makes the Chase Sapphire preferred utterly irrelevant.

Hell yeah just got it, $10k/ month rent means free biz class flights every year, they have amazing transfer value
Yeah no it's so terrible 😂
Biggest plus point is it’s a no fee card.
I mean you get bilt points in addition to your other cards points. And it counts pretty much everywhere I eat in the city. And lyft. So unlike FM1, it at least doubles, if not triples, my points earning, 3x on bilt on top of 2-3x on my other cards
Honestly why not, can’t generate points any other way through rent and it’s free. Nice list of transfer partners too. I like it a lot
How does the paying for rent work? I currently Zelle pay my rent each month. My last place I ACH’d. does the landlord have to accept a certain methodology to use it?
Zelle not supported, ACH, PayPal, venmo, check all work
I hear they will start doing mortgage this year.
