No, not generally. Only at KE and McDermott that have the automatic 7th year fake partnership. Other firms, not even close. 1-3 junior. 4-5 (maybe 6) mid. Thereafter, senior.
In a corporate group at LW where 3rd years are considered mid levels
At my firm in corporate yes. Some are treated as true midlevels or even junior senior associates, others can’t even function so classification isn’t everything
A2, I meant given a lot of latitude and responsibility even for a midlevel but still with some oversight lol
At Kirkland, yes. But we have accelerated partnership, so this is definitely firm dependent. 🤷🏻♀️

As a senior at V5 in transactional, no one views 3rd as mid. That’s not to say that expectations of a third year are definitely higher than 1-2 year.
