Did not knew of this was even a thing lol.l and I have worked in personal tax for years. There are few deductions and credits that may make you most likely to get audited or increase chances of audit but who files has no correlation.
I think there’s no difference. I would imagine when they make selections of medium range income household (majority of us) they don’t “filter” the population by individual filed vs external CPA filed.
I don’t think it makes a difference if you do them yourself compared to hiring an outside provider. While not public information I do not think that is a factor in what they look for on audit. Just make sure that if you go with an outside provider that they understand your risk tolerance and you understand theirs and if they take a position that they clearly explain it to you.

This. Some credits and schedules have a high chance of audit. I don't think self filing vs. Preparer filing changes your chance of audit

Also things like having a high income and moving out of NY to a state with no income tax almost guarantees you will be audited by NYS

Doesn’t matter. Just make sure you’re not a registered republican and you’ll be fine.
Breh we don’t got time to look at small details like that
Always filed myself and never been audited in 20 plus years.
