Going from 20yr 3.25% fixed to 15 year fixed mortgage rate of 2.125%, non pints. Is this rate good enough in NYC?

Yes. Go for it.

What was your payment before vs your payment after, and how much are you paying in costs?

Who’s your broker? And how much is the loan for? 2.15% is lower than I’m seeing right now.

I’ll check it out. Last year refinanced to a 15 yr at 2.75% and haven’t been able to find anything low enough that makes refinancing again attractive. Want to do a cash out too.

I just left my pre-seed startup that was running out of cash (we made $100,000 in revenue this year, and sunk $1m in costs). I was making $40,000 as a developer (plus 20k stock options at $1/share per year) and they refused to pay me any more money. I have 17,000 vested stock options, total number of shares at the time of my contract was 4million. I’m a bit confused about share dilution and if it’s worth it for me to buy some of my stock options… thanks in adv!

Need advice. I’m at my first job in private accounting. Previous experience is as an auditor. I am struggling to figure out the way JEs are posted at my current company. I’m curious if it’s just my company or if every sophisticated accounting department will have non traditional ways of posting their journal entries.

What is one of the most frustrating parts of being a scientist or researcher?

I'll tell you what it is: referencing!

You have to do so much of it, and it's so annoying. You have to cite your sources, but there are so many different formats for citations! And then sometimes you don't even know how to cite something, and how are you supposed to know that unless you ask someone who knows? And even then, they might not be sure whether it should be an in-text citation or a footnote…
