As a biglaw or midlaw tax assoicate, is it common to work on the corporate documents on the deal? My partner handles all the matters (not just tax matters) for some clients, so I prepare all the ancillary agreements and APA, not just tax related provisions, for them.

Someone I’ve started seeing uses they/them pronouns. I’m trying my best but still feel like I make mistakes. When I want to address them is it ok to say how are you or should I say how are they?

This is twice now in back to back weeks my boss has asked me where the disconnect was in our communications because I didn’t deliver on what “was asked”, even though I know damn well what was asked and what was done were the same thing. So, I just fired my first employee as a manager and I'm heartbroken. He was a great, great person but after 6 months on a PIP he just wasn't cutting it skills-wise. I know he was the provider of the household and his wife didn't have a job since she was raising three young ones. Needless to say, I had to take off because I felt terrible, sick to my stomach.
